For Credit: Is This Thing On?

Here's a question, totally unrelated to the course material, to get you used to the blog. This one is only worth one point. If you answer it, you get the point--if not, you don't. Part of the purpose of this question is to identify any bugs in the blog or any problems you have connecting to it before the semester kicks in. If you run into problems, please e-mail me (kwilcox@illinois.edu).

So here's the question: what is the most delicious thing you ate over winter break?

Deadline: Saturday, 1/22, midnight.

King crap soup and lemon caper chicken on a bed of grilled asparagus. It was awesome.

Your instructor here (I go by KW on the blog). I cooked up a storm over the holidays, but I regret to say nothing was all that memorable (or maybe it's just that after smelling and sampling and testing food during the cooking process, I lose interest once it's on the table?). But there were some wonderful (crisp, melt-in-your-mouth) sugar cookies at a holiday party I went to.

I've always been a fan of the food at my family's Christmas dinner (like the Cranberry Sauce and Turkey). It was really good this year.

Grilled calamari in garlic lemon olive oil and stuffed mushroom caps from Meson Sabika! My mom had to stop me from literally licking my plate clean...

This is Rachel Lee by the way.

It was probably my Christmas meal: greens, ham, potatoes, corn, garlic bread, dressing, and chicken.

I think the tastiest thing I ate over winter break was a Whopper I had with an old friend. We were tired and it was early, relatively.

I'm not going to lie- I think a Portillos italian beef was probably the best thing I ate over break!

All of these posts are making me really hungry!
The most delicious meal I had was at Maggianos. I ate ceasar salad, calamari, garlic shrimp linguini and chocolate cake.

My mom made a killer vegan lasagna over break, I made sure to hoard as much as possible before coming back to Champaign.

After many attempts, I finally made great hash brown potatoes. It was a triumph.

I actually ate something not so much gross in content, but in quantity. After my wisdom teeth were taken out and it stopped hurting, I went to McDonalds and ordered 4 double cheeseburgers, 2 large fries, a shake and a drink. I ate it all.
